The Kingdom we refer to is the sovereign, dynamic rule of the

Lord God Almighty

 

"For the Kingdom of God is not in word, but in power" (1 Corinthians 4:20)

A Testimony of God's Power

 

I sure was in the RIGHT PLACE at the RIGHT TIME on that Sunday in October of 2010. Amazing, really.

I went to Starbuck's before heading to church and was getting ready to leave the parking lot when the Holy Spirit told me: "Wait two more minutes." So, I did. After waiting, I pulled out of the parking lot, ready to make a turn to get onto the freeway, when I saw a man lying faceup on the pavement in the turn lane. He was bloody, prostrate, made no movement, and was out cold. I leapt from my car and ran to the man. Another guy was there dialing 911. I said: "I'm going to pray for him." I knelt down, laid my hands on his forehead and prayed: "NO internal injuries and complete recovery." When I did, he WOKE UP! I told him God was with him and to RELAX -- that he would be okay. He began to MOVE. There were two policemen there by then who were asking the man questions. He had no memory at all. I kept praying. His MEMORY returned. I saw that he had a gold chain around his neck. It was bloody, but I reached around his neck, anyway, and pulled something to the front. It was a beautiful gold cross! I looked up at the police and told them that the guy was fine and I needed to get to church. I was a little late!  

I believe we are coming into the perfect timing and perfect placement of God. When this happens, Heaven responds. The Kingdom of God invades. Miracles erupt. He is pleased. Lord, may Thy Kingdom come, may Thy will be done on Earth as it is in Heaven -- through us all.

 

From Training to Reigning

Introduction: The Transition

We believe Scripture teaches those who will reign with Christ on earth will be believers in the Lord Jesus who have, in His eyes, both matured in their love relationship with Him and have conquered or overcome each testing and trial set before them. They have the necessary love for Jesus, the skill to perform and the character to act. They have thus come through the "training" required by God. They are now ready to begin "reigning" with Him in His Kingdom. Many are about to assume their "Kingdom Position." Watch as He lovingly puts you in "the place He has prepared" especially for you! (John 14:2, NKJV)

"Here is the reward I have for every conqueror . . . You'll rule the Nations. Your Shepherd-King rule as firm as an iron staff, their resistance fragile as clay pots. This was the gift my Father gave me; I pass it along to you -- and with it, the Morning Star." (Revelation 2:24, The Message)

Two aspects are mentioned in this verse. Two rewards are given to the trained "conqueror."

The first reward mentioned is:

RULERSHIP -- the gift of the Nations; the Kingdom inheritance the Father gave the Son. "The Lord has said to Me, You are My Son, Today I have begotten You. Ask of Me and I will give You the Nations for Your inheritance. And the ends of the earth for Your possession." (Psalms 2:7,8, NKJV)

We often refer to the believers who have "overcome" as "The Remnant." A remnant in Scripture is defined as "that part left over after judgment." This is an apt expression of the overcomer. It defines their potential rulership position in the Kingdom.

The second reward mentioned is:

RELATIONSHIP -- the gift of the "Morning Star," the gift of the King Himself. "I AM Alpha and Omega, the bright and Morning Star" (Revelation 22:16). We refer to believers who are entering into this relational gift of Jesus as the "Bridal Company," expressing their relationship position; oneness with the King. IN HIM, these will live and move and have all their being!

We couldn't have a RULERSHIP position in the Kingdom without a consummate RELATIONSHIP with the King. It is when we have both a trusted love relationship and skill in overcoming that we enter WITH HIM into His rulership in the Nations. These two aspects are inexorably linked. When speaking of BOTH FACETS in the mature conquering believer, we speak of her as the "Remnant Bride."

The following teachings are for the people who are entering into rulership and relationship; those who are going from TRAINING to REIGNING.

 

 The Beautiful Gate

The beautiful gate is the gate of the bride.

She will be asked to step inside

To a place of union, a place of delight;

A place of honor, a place of might.

Her Bridegroom waits for her to appear,

He'll come to her to carry her near.

To show to her all His desire;

Piercing her heart with holy Fire.

Two hearts aflame with first love's glow

Will show the world the Way to go.

They'll uproot false doctrine, shatter man's fame,

Rule fairly and justly; reprove unjust gain.

The tables will turn; all will be known

As Bride and Groom ascend to the throne.
